We talk about working toward our goals being like a climb up a hiiiiiigh mountain. A hard, dirt and blood under the nails, exhausting climb. A rewarding climb that builds strength, character, leadership skills, personal growth, and helps mold us into the person God wants us to be. Dependent on Him and completely trusting His way for us.
We also talk about how God is the God that can move mountains. And ohhh what mountains He has moved for me. But we don’t really ever think that He may not need to move our mountain. He can make our mountains low and make the rugged places plain. W O W!
Instead of moving our mountain sometimes He just changes it a bit. Shifts it. That hard thing we’re facing may be the exact thing that we need to grow. So instead of asking Him to always move the mountain or take away the problem, let’s not forget that we can ask Him to make our mountain low and smooth the ground for us. I think those smoother steps He leads us to are His footprints that are right in front of us. The smooth steps we can place our feet in right after Him. As we climb our mountain His path may not always be easy and may be completely outside of our comfort zone, but that’s where His strength is found ... in the footsteps of His perfect plan.
